Fading Tarik Skubal is never fun, especially when we're talking strikeouts, but there's a few angles here that I think we can take advantage of. Skubal is coming off the paternity list from earlier this week, and there's some inclement weather that poses a threat here during the game. This isn't a great matchup for strikeouts anyways against Toronto, although some hitters in the lineup haven't faced Skubal which should help his cause. Still, I'm fading him at 7.5 strikeouts on MGM and it's likely we don't have outs props available for starting pitchers since the weather could change at any moment. Credit to him if he gets to eight strikeouts in this weather against this lineup but I'm on the under at 7.5.
The Tigers have lost 11 of their last 12 games, and their last win was with Tarik Skubal pitching, and he came out with the 2-1 win against Texas. The Blue Jays have won the last two against the struggling Tigers, but they've also won the last two with Skubal pitching, and now he's going against Kevin Gausman when the Blue Jays have won 18 of their last 22 games. Everything's going right for Toronto; nothing's going Detroit's way. The Blue Jays have won four of their last five behind their ace Gausman. Skubal may bring the best out of Detroit, but he’ll get his six innings in, and Toronto goes to work. Toronto to win.
