The Brewers have won 11 games in a row, and they've got their rookie phenom Jacob Misiorowski on the mound tonight against Logan Gilbert. Surprisingly, the Mariners are favored for tonight's game. Over the last 30 days, only one team has an ERA under 3.00, and that's the Brewers at 2.82. The Mariners are 9th with a 3.79 ERA over that span. Misiorowski comes off of a 3-1 win over the Dodgers where he went six innings and struck out 12. Gilbert allowed two runs in his last start and four runs before that, and in both games he only lasted 5.1 innings. I think they've got the wrong favorite here. This kid has major skills. Brewers to win.

Love the Miz! The flame-throwing rookie has gone at least five in four of his five big-league outings and is on extra rest thanks to the AS Break. The Mariners obviously haven't seen him, which should help the first time through the lineup. I would not play 15.5 but I'm sure Pat Murphy wants Misiorowski to earn a W if possible. Seattle has scored just three total runs during a two-game skid.
Call them the Rodney Dangerfields of MLB, as we're not sure what the Brewers can do for some more respect from the oddsmakers, who have once again made Milwaukee an underdog (even if just slightly) tonight in Seattle despite 11 straight wins. The last four of those have come on the road since the All-Star break, including Monday's 6-0 shutout over the Mariners at T-Mobile Park, and tonight is the next chance for flame-throwing rookie phenom Jacob Misiorowski, with a 2.81 ERA in his first five appearances (plus a shut inning at the All-Star Game). Meanwhile, since being reactivated last month, Seattle's Logan Gilbert has posted only so-so numbers on the mound (5.28 ERA in six starts).
