The Angels have lost five straight, scoring five runs in the process. Neither starter in this matchup has been consistent, but the Guardians have a huge edge in the bullpen. Luis Ortiz has had a wide range of strikeout outcomes so far, with four or less in nearly half of his starts and at least seven in the other half. This matchup yielded just three strikeouts when Ortiz faced them in LA earlier this year, and he's been far less effective on the road in many facets. Regardless of those poor results, he has a near 13% swinging strike rate, and is running a 43% whiff rate on the slider. This is a lineup that’s struggled to not strike out against that pitch, and I'm willing to take a shot that he changes his approach from last time and is more comfortable at home.
