The Mets currently own the lowest team batting average in the league at .184. Toronto was shut out yesterday but have former Met Chris Bassitt on the hill today, only allowing one earned run in 13.3 innings against his former team. Both teams are middle of the pack in terms of OPS with runners in scoring position and these two are a combined 10-5 to the under to start the season.

Chris Bassitt vs. Griffin Canning. It's supposed to be rainy and in the 40's Saturday in New York. Bassitt has had success against the current Mets lineup, holding them to a .197 average and four RBI's in 68 career at-bats. Canning earned a spot in New York's rotation with a strong spring. That carried over to his first start when he held Houston to two runs over 5.2 innings. The combination of weather and pitching matchup is enough for me to take the F5 under 4.5.
