The Reds pummeled the Marlins on Tuesday for the second game in a row and the pitching matchup for Wednesday in lefty Andrew Abbott vs. Enrico Pallazo ... err Valente Bellozo appears to favor Cincinnati more than Tuesday's did. Miami dropped to 7-31 vs. southpaws with Tuesday's loss. Now I'm curious what the fewest team wins/most losses in a season vs. lefties might be in the 162-game era.

As I write this, the Marlins are down to a lefty, Nick Lodolo, 6-0 in the 5th inning. Should that hold, that would bring them to 8-31 vs lefties on the season. And their lineup leaves much to be desired these days and they ripped their pen to shreds ahead of the deadline. Andrew Abbott can be very tough from the left side and he's been better away from home and this ballpark should favor him. The Fish pounded him a few weeks back ... and the Reds still won, 10-6.
