Mets are going to keep on winning tonight behind David Peterson who they've won eight of their last nine games behind. Peterson will pitch about 5 to 6 innings and he should be expected to have the lead before he leaves. The Angels have won Jose Soriano's last three starts but the first two were against the struggling Seattle offense and his last start was against the A's who had scored six runs off him. Mets get the win.

Jose Soriano has been pretty good for the Angels overall but might be fading having surpassed a career high in innings as he was shelled last time out -- and is 2-4 with a 5.19 ERA at home. The Halos just seem like they have flat-lined completely. Leading hitter Luis Rengifo was in Friday's lineup despite a wrist issue but pulled from it during the game and thus surely out tonight. How/why he wasn't traded at the deadline is an utter mystery. I'm guessing the Angels also start waiving guys soon like last year to save money. Well, off to prepare for the first big storm of the year. It's as if there's a giant magnet in this area ..
