Friday, the LA Angels are one of the few teams that go into today’s series not having had Thursday as an off day. Additionally, they lost consecutive games as a rare home favorite to the Colorado Rockies. Yet, look for Tyler Anderson to continue to deliver as he ranks top ten in ERA. Mets starter Paul Blackburn just pitched against the Angels as a member of the Oakland As in his last start and surrendered multiple home runs. Take the home team in the Angels.

The Mets were off Thursday, while the Angels' bullpen imploded late against the Rockies. And the whole Mike Trout thing. In a way, the Angels as a franchise are a bigger mess than the White Sox because at least Chicago has a stellar farm system. But I'd love to see Arte Moreno and Jerry Reinsdorf play each other in tic-tac-toe. They'd somehow both lose. Paul Blackburn makes his Mets debut on the mound. He was meh against these Angels last time out but at this price and with the Mets having all the motivation and a fully ready bullpen ... simply a game they have no right losing as they chase a WC spot.
