Hate -1.5 runlines especially for road teams so we'll roll the dice on the ML (-1 not available) as the White Sox got worse today, if possible, by trading away Paul DeJong and Eloy Jimenez -- I'm both sad and happy to see Eloy go. He had so much promise but just couldn't stay healthy. Eloy probably will rupture something on the flight to Baltimore (where I actually think he rakes). Not a big Michael Wacha guy for KC but he has a 0.90 ERA in 20 innings this year vs. the Pale Hose.
The run line (-1.5, -115) against the White Sox is in autoplay territory. They've played 109 games and 60 have been lost by multiple runs. In their 15-game losing streak, 11 have been lost by more than one. The Royals are now 10-1 against the Sox after the late comeback last night and Royals starter Michael Wacha has a 2.56 ERA in his last 11 starts. He threw seven scoreless against the White Sox last time.

The White Sox are so bad it's just sad. Maybe they can lure guys with NIL money this offseason? Don't know why I don't keep playing -1.5 on whichever team is against them, but I simply don't like those types of plays -- especially on the road. I am losing out on money because of it, that's for sure. Rookie Jonathan Cannon has been a moderate bright spot. He has a 3.24 ERA at home this year and has gone at least 5.2 innings in five straight and seven of eight. He went six decent innings in KC on July 20. Winds are NOT blowing out in Chicago, which seems a rarity around MLB tonight.
If the oddsmakers continue to post prices on White Sox games, and the sports books continue to allow bets against the Pale Hose, then we'll just keep recommending against Chicago. Losses in 15 straight are bad enough, but across the past four of those it has gotten particularly ugly (outscored 30-11), and the Royals have been beating up the Sox all season, including four straight since the All-Star break. Tuesday starter Michael Wacha got one of those for KC on July 19 when tossing seven shutout innings at the Hose, and note Sox rookie starter Jonathan Cannon has been struggling like the rest of his team, with a 5.00 ERA his last three starts. Play Royals on Run Line
White Sox had precious talent to begin with and now they keep unloading it. Sinking ship. Royals must make noise in this series. Royal entered Mon 9-1 vs the White Sox. Michael Wacha has a 2.58 ERA in last 7 starts, AS break did him some good. Went 7 scoreless in last out vs Hose and 2 ER in 3 starts vs them this season (20 IP!). Sox 4-8 in Jonathan Cannon's starts, with 6 losses by 2+ runs. Sox pen running out of legit arms.
