Both the San Diego Padres and New York Mets come into tonight’s series with recent success. The Padres are coming off their first sweep of the season, and the Mets are undefeated in the month of July. As great as Justin Verlander’s past two starts have been, the Padres should have the advantage with having yesterday off.
