I like our chances of at least eight runs here at even money. I don't expect much from the Giants pitchers, especially Sean Manaea, given how well the White Sox tend to do against lefties. Although, I'm not totally confident in Michael Kopech or the White Sox bullpen. Take the over here.

I'm going to back the home team here. I think we've underestimated the White Sox a bit, as they split the series in Houston. The Giants are opening with Anthony DeSclafani, who had a terrible season in his few starts last year, especially on the road, where he posted an 8.53 ERA in 12.2 IP. Following him is LHP Sean Manaea, who struggled in away games last season with the Padres, going 2-6 with a 6.16 ERA. The White Sox had the second best average (.271) against left-handed pitchers last season, and they got six hits off Astros ace southpaw, Framber Valdez this season. Take the White Sox to get the win.

We'll go ahead and play this lookahead line too as I'm fading that bad San Francisco lineup against Chicago's Michael Kopech. He posted a 3.01 ERA (23 ER/68.2 IP) in 13 starts at home last season, holding the opposition to a .157. It's the home opener for the Pale Hose. I'm very encouraged by how they played this weekend in Houston because, hey, their manager didn't fall asleep. That's already an improvement over Tony La Russa.
