Should the Mariners even be underdogs? New York has lost five straight and had to travel from St. Louis yesterday. Anthony Rizzo hasn't played since Wednesday due to back troubles and long flights don't exactly make those better. Jameson Taillon was knocked around in the Bronx by the Mariners last Tuesday and has been worse on the road with a 4.47 ERA. Seattle has won its past four at home vs. a right-hander. M's at -170 on the RL.

The Yankees have now lost five games in a row including two of those games to the team who they are playing in the Mariners. Jameson Taillon is much worse on the road with a 4.47 ERA and he has struggled lately with a 5.71 ERA in his last seven starts. He also allowed 5 ER in 4.2 IP last turn to the Mariners. Logan Gilbert seriously struggled against the Yankees last time around allowing 6 ER in 5.1 innings pitched, but I think he will have much more success at home, and he might not have to face Anthony Rizzo. The Yankees bullpen has been brutal lately and they are overworked, I like the value on the Mariners at home.
