Oakland will give two regulars the day off here in first baseman Matt Olson and catcher Sean Murphy, and in the slog that is betting MLB all summer you look for little advantages like that. A's lefty Jesus Luzardo (0-1, 6.00) has been just so-so in two starts and this will be his first on the road -- the A's, of course, also lose the DH. Luzardo was much worse on the road than at home in 2020. Arizona's Zac Gallen makes his season debut. He was very solid last year with a 2.75 ERA in 12 starts. The Snakes are 1-5 in their past 17 at home vs. lefties.
