NFL Survivor Pool Week 7 strategy: Don't trust the Chargers, and breaking down every worthy option

Week 6 was another rough one in NFL survivor pools, with several big favorites losing outright. Three of the four most popular plays in Circa Survivor were losers, and if you're still alive in your pool, it's probably because you still had the Rams available to use against the Panthers in the one easy win for a big favorite. We tapped a potential sleeper option third on our list last week in the Chargers, and they survived on Monday against the Broncos and saved the 43 people who backed them in Circa Survivor.

In the Circa Survivor contest, 93.8% of entries have already been eliminated, which speaks to how many longshot upsets have happened so far this season. Last year, 74.6% of entries were eliminated after six weeks; two years ago, that elimination percentage was all the way down to 45.5%. If you've survived, you're one of the lucky ones.

Each week, I break down several options you should consider and lay out the other spots where you might end up wanting to use each team later in the season, along with your other options on those weeks. That format should allow you to tailor the advice specifically to the size of your survivor pool remaining as well as the teams you've already burned. One big favorite that I'm not high on this week is the Los Angeles Chargers, who are on a short week after playing on Monday with an offense that didn't look in peak form against the Broncos, averaging just 3.6 yards per play. They figure to have more success against the Seahawks defense despite Seattle shutting down Kyler Murray and Co. last week, but Seattle is a threat to win a shootout week-to-week as well.
