Knicks vs. Heat Monday NBA playoffs Game 4 odds, trends: Betting action fairly even, but heavy money on Julius Randle props

The Miami Heat host the New York Knicks in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

The Miami Heat are listing star Jimmy Butler as questionable for Monday night's Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the New York Knicks, but Butler is all but certainly going to play barring something unforeseen. The Knicks, though, might be without guard Immanuel Quickley. Miami is now a 4.5-point favorite at BetMGM, but the overall action is fairly even. Knicks All-Star Julius Randle is taking a lot of prop money. Click here for model picks.

On the spread, which opened at 3.5,  Miami is taking 61% of the bets and 53% of the money. The total has risen from 206.5 to 208.5, with 77% of the bets and 83% of the money on the Over. At +155 on the moneyline, the Knicks are taking 57% of the bets and 61% of the money.

The only game Miami has lost in the series was the one Butler missed, Game 2 at Madison Square Garden. He was back for Game 3 in Miami and had 28 points in the surprisingly easily 105-86 win. Butler was 9-for-21 from the field, so his streak of scoring at least 25 points and shooting at least 50% from the field ended at six playoff games in a row. The NBA record is 10.

Butler has scored 241 points through his first seven games this postseason, tying for the third-most points scored in NBA playoff history through the first seven games by a player at least 30 years old. He is set at over/under 28.5 points tonight, but three Randle props are the most popular so far: Over 12.5 combined rebounds and assists (-120), Over 8.5 rebounds (-105) and Over 23.5 points (-110).

Randle missed Game 1 but was excellent in Game 2 with 25 points and 12 rebounds. He struggled in Game 3 with just 10 points on 4-for-15 shooting to go with 14 rebounds and two helpers. During seven playoff games, he is shooting just 34.6% from the field and 22.9% from deep on almost seven 3-point attempts per game while playing through an injury.

As for Quickley, he's doubtful with a left ankle sprain. The regular-season Sixth Man of the Year runner-up had 12 points in 20 minutes off the bench in Game 3. Miami's second unit is outscoring the Knicks' bench by an average of 10.7 points per game, and now New York coach Tom Thibodeau's team may be without its top reserve. Miles McBride could enter the rotation if Quickley is out.

On the updated series line, the Heat are -250 favorites and Knicks +200. Miami is taking 53% of the bets, but the Knicks have gotten 60% of the handle.
