The Royals turn to Seth Lugo on Friday. The veteran has been consistent this season, allowing three runs or fewer in eight of nine starts. In his one start versus Detroit this year, Lugo gave up five hits and three runs over 6.2 innings in a 3-1 Tigers win.

Casey Mize is on the hill for the Tigers. Mize was on the winning end of the 3-1 decision back on April 19 where he gave up just one run in 7.0 innings. Overall, Mize has allowed one run or fewer in five of seven starts.
