The Florida Panthers took a 3-0 lead over Edmonton in last year's Stanley Cup Final before the Oilers stormed back to force a Game 7. Florida is one win away from putting Edmonton in a deep hole again after an impressive 6-1 victory in Game 3. The Panthers have now won five of the last six games over the Oilers. 

You can typically expect plenty of scoring when these two teams get together. Nine of the last 10 meetings have gone over the total, including all three games in the Stanley Cup Final. Florida's blowout in Game 3 hasn't been the norm recently. Prior to that outcome, the teams played five straight one-goal games, with two going into overtime.

Best MLB bets today

St. Louis Cardinals (-138, 7.5) at Milwaukee Brewers: 7:40 p.m. ET

The Cardinals come limping into their four-game series with Milwaukee. St. Louis has lost four straight and is coming off a sweep at the hands of the Blue Jays. On the bright side, the Cardinals have won seven of the last 10 games against their NL Central rivals. 

Sonny Gray will try to get St. Louis back in the win column. The veteran enters Thursday's matchup throwing 13.1 straight scoreless innings. Overall, Gray hasn't allowed a run in four of his last six starts. Not surprisingly, the Cardinals have won six straight games with Gray on the mound. 

Jacob Misiorowski is expected to make his major league debut for Milwaukee on Thursday. The Brewers' top pitching prospect averages 98 MPH with his fastball. Misiorowski posted a 2.13 ERA and 80 strikeouts in 63.1 innings at Triple-A Nashville this season before being called up to the majors.

New York Yankees (-150, 9) at Kansas City Royals: 7:40 p.m. ET

The Yankees love playing Kansas City. New York took the first two games of the series by a combined score of 16-5 and has won 10 of the last 12 meetings against the Royals. 

Will Warren gets the call for the Yankees on Thursday. The right-hander hasn't pitched well in his last two outings, allowing 11 runs over 6.2 innings. Even with his recent struggles, New York is still 5-1 in Warren's last six starts. 

Kansas City counters with veteran Seth Lugo. Lugo faced the Yankees back in April, where he allowed four runs in a 4-1 New York win. The Royals have lost Lugo's last three starts by a combined score of 17-8.
