SportsLine's projection model generated selections for Sunday's matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks

The New York Knicks host the Philadelphia 76ers in an Eastern Conference tilt at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. Philadelphia is favored by eight points at Caesars Sportsbook, while the Over-Under is set at 219 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our NBA odds page). Before making any 76ers vs. Knicks picks, you NEED to check out the NBA predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NBA game 10,000 times and has returned well over $10,000 in profit for $100 players on its top-rated NBA picks over the past three-plus seasons. The model enters Week 18 of the 2021-22 NBA season on a stunning 69-41 roll on all top-rated NBA picks, returning almost $2,300. Anyone following it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows the 76ers have a high-powered offense. Philadelphia scored more than 1.3 points per possession in its last game on Friday, and the 76ers are scoring more than 1.11 points per possession for the season. The 76ers are No. 2 in the NBA in turnovers, committing only 12.5 per game, and Philadelphia averages 1.86 assists for every giveaway. Philadelphia is shooting 35.7 percent from three-point range, 46.3 percent from the field, and 81.2 percent from the free throw line this season.

The model also knows the Knicks are very good on the glass. New York is in the top eight of the NBA in offensive rebound rate at 28.9 percent, and the Knicks secure more than 73 percent of available defensive rebounds. The Knicks are also in the top five of the NBA in second-chance points (14.3 per game) on offense, with New York creating 22.7 free throw attempts per game, a top-five figure. Opponents are scoring only 43 points in the paint per game against the Knicks, which helps New York to force teams into suboptimal shots.

Now, it has set its sights on 76ers vs. Knicks. We can tell you the model is leaning Under the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 50 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any NBA picks.
