2023 U.S. Open odds: Full outright winner odds, with Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka atop the board

The U.S. Open tees off Thursday in the heart of Los Angeles at the prestigious L.A. Country Club

The exclusive Los Angeles Country Club hosts the 2023 U.S. Open starting Thursday, and Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm will be seeking a second major title this year. But it's Scottie Scheffler, in search of the second of his career, who is the favorite. Scheffler is priced at 6-1 in the latest 2023 U.S. Open golf odds at Caesars Sportsbook, but Rahm (9-1) and Koepka (9-1) aren't far behind.

Rahm won his second career major at the Masters in April, with Koepka tying for the runner-up spot. Then Koepka won last month's PGA Championship, his fifth major title. Koepka also has won the U.S. Open twice, becoming just the seventh golfer to win in consecutive years, in 2017 and 2018. Rahm's first major championship came at the 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines.

Scheffler is the world's No. 1 player, and while his most recent victory came in March, he has finished in the top 10 in 12 of his 16 outings this season. The 26-year-old tied for 10th at Augusta, then shared the runner-up spot at the PGA. Scheffler comes in on a run of four straight top-five finishes. That's why he has been locked in as the favorite in the U.S. Open 2023 golf odds.

Viktor Hovland, who tied for second alongside Scheffler at the PGA Championship, is among four players in the top 10 of the World Golf Ranking seeking a first major championship this week. The world's fifth-ranked player is priced at 12-1, along with Rory McIlroy. A four-time major champion, McIlroy opened as the favorite in January but hasn't done much to impress oddsmakers since.

The other three top-10 players in search of a signature victory also are among the 2023 U.S. Open favorites. No. 4 Patrick Cantlay is the highest-ranked golfer without a title and is priced at 16-1, followed by sixth-ranked Xander Schauffele (18-1) and No. 7 Max Homa (22-1). Jordan Spieth, who counts the 2015 U.S. Open among his three major championships, also is priced at 22-1.

Matt Fitzpatrick is the reigning U.S. Open champion, but he hasn't impressed oddmakers much either, and comes in at 35-1. There are 12 players at shorter odds, including six seeking their first major victory -- the four previously mentioned, plus Tyrrell Hatton (28-1) and Tony Finau (30-1). Dustin Johnson and Collin Morikawa, both two-time major winners, also are listed at 35-1.

Among the longshots at Los Angeles Country Club is Phil Mickelson, as six-time major champion who still needs a U.S. Open title to complete a career grand slam. He shocked the golf world with his victory at the PGA Championship in 2021 and tied for second at the Masters in April. But Mickleson hasn't finished higher than T-48 in his past seven U.S. Opens, missing the cut three times. He is priced at 250-1 at Caesars Sportsbook.

Full odds to win the 2023 U.S. Open from Caesars Sportsbook are listed below.
