2023 U.S. Open odds, picks: Proven golf model reveals projected leaderboard, surprising predictions

The SportsLine Projection Model simulated the U.S. Open 2023 10,000 times and came up with a shocking leaderboard

The PGA Tour will head to California for the 2023 U.S. Open at the Los Angeles Country Club. Play tees off Thursday, June 15 at 9:45 a.m. ET, with Matthew Fitzpatrick as the defending champion. Caesars Sportsbook lists Scottie Scheffler as the 13-2 favorite, followed by Jon Rahm (8-1), Brooks Koepka (17-2), Viktor Hovland (10-1), and Rory McIlroy (11-1) in the latest 2023 U.S. Open odds.

We simulated the 2023 U.S. Open 10,000 times, and there are some MAJOR surprises. Join SportsLine here to see the model's shocking 2023 U.S. Open projected leaderboard.

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been RED-HOT since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $10,200 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

McClure's model predicted Jon Rahm would finish on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. And at the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the third round, but the model still projected him as the winner. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scottie Scheffler winning in 2022.

In addition, the model included Nick Taylor in its best bets to win the 2023 RBC Canadian Open. That bet hit at +7000, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned nearly $1,900. McClure's best bets also included Jason Day (17-1) winning outright at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson, even though he hadn't won a PGA Tour event since 2018.

This same model has also nailed a whopping nine majors entering the weekend! Anyone who has followed it has seen MASSIVE returns! Join SportsLine now to see the model's shocking U.S. Open picks from 10,000 simulations!

One major surprise the model is calling for at the U.S. Open 2023: Max Homa, a six-time PGA Tour champion and one of the top favorites, stumbles this week and doesn't even crack the top 10! Another surprise: Xander Schauffele, an 18-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He's a target for anyone looking for a HUGE payday!

Also, the model is targeting THREE other golfers with 2023 U.S. Open odds of 18-1 or longer who will make a STRONG run at the title, and McClure's best bets include multiple 50-1 longshots to win it all! Anyone who backs these golfers could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who they are before locking in any 2023 U.S. Open picks!

So who wins the U.S. Open 2023? And which HUGE longshots make a serious run at the title? ...
