Expert Picks
I’m not sure Brazil can completely run Scotland off the pitch, but I also haven’t seen enough from this Scotland side to believe they should be at least a two-goal underdog. Scotland rely too much on individual moments to create chances, but they don’t have many players who can produce that spark out of nowhere. On the other side, Brazil finally look like a team playing as one cohesive unit, and Vinicius Junior is playing out of his mind right now. This feels like the stage of the tournament where Carlo Ancelotti starts to show exactly why Brazil went and got him. I think Brazil win this by two clear goals.
Brazil's elite forwards should be too hot for Scotland to handle in this game. Raphinha is out injured, but Rayan is an able deputy. Vinícius Júnior has been on fire at this tournament, and Matheus Cunha is fresh from scoring twice in Brazil's 3-0 win against Haiti. Scotland lost 1-0 to Morocco last time out, and they could struggle to contain Vinícius.
