Josh Van is one of the fastest, highest-paced strikers in UFC history, and I’ll take him to beat the entire division on the feet. Alexandre Pantoja is a good striker too, but he won’t be able to hang with Van for 5 rounds on the feet. I think it’s the opposite on the ground, where Pantoja could dominate or finish with a submission in any round. I am going to side with Pantoja to get his belt back and set up a trilogy fight down the road.

Brunno Ferreira is a dangerous striker, and he only needs one shot to end the fight. Edmen Shahbazyan is the more complete fighter, and if his chin holds up, he could win rounds on the feet or on the mat. I do like Shahbazyan to have the wrestling and cardio edges, and he should have an easier time winning this fight on the ground. I’ll take Shahbazyan to get his hand raised at -162..

I love this fight. Marwan Rahiki is the faster and slicker striker with more tools in his game. He is aggressive and is more likely to get an early knockout. Tommy McMillen is a wild man, and he can throw insane volume at a high face for a full 15 minutes. If his chin can hold up, then I like him to take over this fight as Rahiki slows down. Give me McMillen to get a late knockout.

If Curtis Blaydes' chin holds up, then I like him to win this fight. Waldo Cortes-Acosta does have one-shot KO power. Blaydes can match him in volume on the feet, though, but he should look to wrestle here. If Blaydes can wrestle for 3 rounds, then he could dominate this fight and get a finish. I’d rather side with the better grappler here at plus money.

Tim Elliot is a grinder. He is awkward on his feet but can throw volume. Edgar Chairez is the more dangerous striker and grappler, and he is the more likely finisher. I think he grabs Elliot's neck during one of his takedowns and gets the submission win.

These guys are both low-volume strikers with KO power. I would give Michael Page the power and durability edge, and he has an awkward style that guys have a hard time dealing with. Nursulton Ruziboev should look to grapple here, and that would be his main edge. I just can’t lay this line on Page with his lack of urgency and low volume, so I’ll side with the underdog to hopefully win the fight on the mat.

This is a close fight, but I do think Fares Ziam is the more well-rounded fighter. Sola Axel is more aggressive and dangerous early, but he can slow down. Ziam should have the same pace for 15 minutes, and he is the more technical striker. He also has the grappling edge. I’ll take Ziam to win the fight when Axel slows down after round 1.

Both guys are making their UFC debuts here, and each can fight at a high pace, so it should be a good matchup. I think Michael Aljarouj has the better striking, and Fabia Sintes is the better grappler. I don’t know that Sintes has the wrestling to dictate where the fight takes place, and Aljarouj is the home-country fighter. I’ll side with him to win at least 2 rounds if he can’t get a TKO first.

These guys are both early in their MMA careers, but they do have kickboxing backgrounds, so I expect a striking match. Levi Rodrigues is taking this fight on short notice after a quick turnaround. It looks like the UFC is trying to set up Liu Ce with a favorable matchup in front of his home crowd, and I’ll take him to win by KO.

This is a rematch that ended in a no contest, but I picked Alex Perez last time because of his wrestling and submission skills. He just couldn't land takedowns in that last matchup, and he was getting picked apart on the feet. I am going to change my pick this time to Su Mudaerji by knockout in front of his home country.

Namsrai Batbayar is the Road to UFC 4 winner, and he is a dangerous fighter with all 10 of his wins coming by finish. I do think he will need a finish because Lima looks like the more skilled fighter overall. I like him to dictate where the fight takes place and win minutes. I’ll take Lima to survive the big shots early and find a late finish of his own, or win a decisive decision.

I expect a finish either way in this fight. Vitor Petrino is the better striker with one-shot KO power. Serghei Spivac has improved his striking, but he relies more on grappling and getting submissions. Whoever dictates where this fight takes place should get a finish. I’ll take Petrino to stuff Spivac's takedown attempts and record an early KO.

On Anthony Hernandez’s best day, he can beat anybody with his wrestling, pace, and pressure. He is a really good grappler and will have the cardio edge in this fight, but he has to grapple. Gregory Rodrigues will be the better striker with more power. He is also a good wrestler and grappler. If Rodrigues can stuff takedowns and stay on his feet, I think he knocks Hernandez out.

This should be a fun fight and could be a high-volume striking match. Nasrat Haqparast is the guy I like to be ahead on volume, and he is the more experienced fighter. Chris Padilla has more power, but he is also more likely to mix in takedowns. I’d give him the grappling edge, although I'm not sure that comes into play here. I expect this fight to play out on the feet, so I am going to side with Haqparast to win by unanimous decision.

Jackson McVey is the more well-rounded fighter, but he needs to keep this fight at range or in the clinch to have success. Wes Schultz is a dangerous submission grappler and prefers to get the fight to the ground. I think we get a finish from either guy here, but I’ll side with the dog on the ML. I think Schultz takes McVey to the ground and wins by submission.
