Real Madrid are not a team we're used to talking about when using the word rough, but man have they looked rough in recent matches. They are currently without a win in their last three LaLiga matches, and their defense has been worrisome to say the least. They recently played Girona, who are 18th on the table and are sitting in a relegation spot, and draw. Not only did they draw, but they made Girona look good. Madrid has loads and loads more talent than Athletic Club, but I'm not backing Madrid until they fix whatever is going on both on and off the pitch. If they play how they did against Girona or Elche, they'll lose this outright.

Yes. I think a draw could be brewing in this matchup at Camp Nou. When I saw this matchup I was ready to bet on goals, and I was ready to bet on whichever club had the plus points on the spread. This game just screams a 2-2 final to me. Barcelona with their world-class attack and struggling defense, against an Atletico side who can struggle at Camp Nou, but have won their last seven matches across all competitions in dominating fashion. This is a massive matchup with some big points up for grabs - which is why I think both teams would be perfectly happy with a share of the spoils.

Say what you want about Hansi Flick's Barcelona squad, they're consistent that's for dang sure. They once again covered the over in their LaLiga match against Alaves last week after winning 3-1. Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal continued to flex their attacking muscles while the Barcelona defense continued to struggle, after conceding in the very first minute. This is a massive match between two of the best clubs in Spain. Their last three matches against each other ended 4-2, 4-4, and 0-1. They have shown they can play defense sometimes, but it's not the norm. I will continue to bet this at plus odds every single week as long as Flick is still the manager.

I'll say this every time. I hate betting unders. You can't ignore something that has hit every time these guys have played each other since 2022 though. These two clubs have clashed four times over the last two seasons, and over those four matches we saw a total of four goals. Out of the 20 clubs in LaLiga currently, only five are averaging less than one goal scored a match. Two of those five, are Valencia and Rayo Vallecano. I'm playing this for a partial unit because... well it's an under, but this match screams Valencia parking the bus and grinding this game to a slow draw once again.

Celta Vigo have been one of the most consistantly exciting clubs to watch in Spain over the past couple seasons. I say this solely from the perspective of someone who is greedy and loves betting on overs. Over 2.5 goals has hit in four of the last five head-to-head matches between these sides, and Celta specifically has seen the over hit now in four of their last five matches across all competitions this season. I don't overthink this matchup. I see Celta, an offensive juggernaut, and I bet the over knowing they don't play back and do not park.

Atletico Madrid hit their rock bottom on October 21st when they were beaten by Arsenal 4-0 in UCL play. The team since that loss though, has been unstoppable. Atletico Madrid have won their last six LaLiga matches straight and took down a strong Inter Milan side in UCL earlier this week. They have Julian Alvarez who is one of the best striker in Europe right now, and are expected to continue their winning streak against the worst offensive team in LaLiga. I'm expecting a comfortable win for the hosts, and doubt that the visitors will score.

Barcelona are going to be PISSED coming into this matchup. Hansi Flick and co were embarrassed during their travels to Stamford Bridge in UCL this past week. Barcelona not only lost, but were stomped 3-0 by Chelsea after Ronald Araujo was sent off in the first half but a ridiculously dumb challenge. While the result was terrible for Barca, the trend of goals galore continues. They've now had 15 matches straight across all competitions hit over 2.5 goals, with the majority going above that. Alaves is a tricky team and I believe will find the scoresheet. I'm expecting the over once again to hit, as Barcelona look to bounce back.

First and foremost, I would play this all the way down to +120, wanted to get that out of the way. Simeone has helped Atleti find their goal-scoring boots once again. After their embarassing 4-0 loss to Arsenal in UCL play, the switch flipped. They outscored their next four opponents 11-2, and Julian Alvarez and Antoine Griezmann have been deadly in attack. These teams have played five times over the last two years. In those five games we saw over 2.5 cash in 4/5. We also saw a match with five and a match with six goals. Getafe doesn't play slow against Atleti, and I think both teams come off break going for goals.

We are in for an emotional fixture this weekend. This will be the first time Barcelona has played a competitive match at Camp Nou since May 28, 2023 as the stadium has been under construction the past two years. This is a big deal not only for the club, but for the fans that will be in attendance. This stadium is going to be BUMPING and we can expect Barcelona to give their loyal fans the show they deserve. Both teams have scored and the over 2.5 goals has now hit in 10 matches straight for Barcelona, and I see no reason the goals will go dry. Look at Lewandowski and Yamal to find goals, and the over to cash.

I love a relegation scrap. When we have two teams sitting at the bottom of the table and a critical three points up for grabs, we very often see goals. Levante have been terrible defensively, but have been successful in front of the goal. Their matches have averaged 3.25 goals per match this season. Meanwhile, Valencia is equally as poor defensively, and has been awful at home in recent weeks. With so much up for grabs, I'm expecting early errors, and early goals, with both teams desperate for points.

I see Barcelona. I bet on goals. I don't need to overthink this. Look at Barcelona's last few matches, or in this case, their last nine. BTTS and Over 2.5 goals has now hit in their last nine matches across all competitions. This teams attack is next level, and is maybe only matched by how poor their defense is. They drew 3-3 to Belgian side Club Brugge in UCL. Barcelona under Hansi Flick have some things to figure out, but until they do, we need to keep betting on goals. Celta Vigo aren't far off, with BTTS hitting in 12 of their last 13 matches across all competitions. This is a classic, if it ain't broke don't fix it matchup! I'm taking all the goals.

Villarreal have started of this season in the best form possible. They're sitting third on the LaLiga table above the likes of Atletico Madrid and Real Betis. This team has looked borderline unbreakable... in league play. Villarreal are coming into this match after losing to Pafos in UCL play in a match where they were -400 favorites. This is bad for Villarreal, but good for us. This team under manager Marcelino do not sulk. They bounce back, and they do it immediately. Villarreal have won their last five straight against Espanyol, outscoring them 13-4. This game should have goals, but I'm expecting more for the visitors.

Valencia supporters you might want to look away this weekend. I'm expecting a repeat of what we saw both times these clubs clashed last season. Atletico won both fixtures 3-0 in the 24-25 season, and did so with ease. The timing is rough as Atletico Madrid are in scorching form, having demolished Real Betis, Sevilla and USG over the last two weeks. Valencia have failed to score in their last three league matches, and I believe that extends to four, as Atleti pick up a comfortable three points.

Just last season Girona found themselves playing in Champions League football. They finished third in Spain back during the 23-24 season, then, completely fell apart. The club sold most of their best talent after their breakout season and collapsed. This year, they're last in LaLiga with only seven points in 10 matches. In recent weeks though, they've made an effort to transition into forward facing footy. After a slow start, they've now seen both teams score and over 2.5 goals hit in five matches straight. This is a team who understands they're in trouble of relegation, and are making the necessary tactical changes to score goals. I love the over, and would have played it at -120.

Real Sociedad prepare to host Sevilla for the Friday LaLiga matchup, and the books are giving the hosts the edge in this one. I for one, do not agree with what the books are doing. Real Sociedad have six points over their first nine matches. They are one of the two sides in LaLiga who have found only a single win. Meanwhile, Sevilla are coming off a disappointing loss to Mallorca, but showed when they took down Barcelona 4-1 the week before what they are capable. Not only do I think Sevilla cover the spread, I think they win outright against a Sociedad side who has been limping through their matches.
