We are 19th! That's all that is at stake in this one Sunday with both clubs set for relegation regardless. Wolverhampton has not won a single road match all season with seven total goals scored -- and hasn't scored in its past three away -- is really all this is. Burnley has all of two wins at home. A scoreless draw probably would be fitting.
This Premier League season has been a disaster for these two clubs as they enter the last matchday. Both sides will be relegated this season, as Burnley sit with 21 points over 37 matches and Wolves sit with 19 over 37. While this game essentially doesn't matter, Burnley will take pride in giving their fans one last show at home as a thank you for all the support. I expect Burnley to take this game more seriously than Wolves for their fans. I also can't ignore the fact that Wolves have played 18 games on the road this season, and have won zero. Not a single win on the road for Wolves, and I don't see that changing.
I want to start off by saying this: This match does not matter, at all. Leeds could win this game 20-0, nothing changes. Wolves could win this game 7-4, nothing changes. Both of these teams are going to be relegated regardless of the outcome of this match. While many people understandably will stay away from a game like this, I'm going to bet on goals. A match like this is a chance for both clubs to give one final thank you to their fans in the EPL season. Defense's will play loose, and avoid dangerous tackles, and I believe this will lead to a fun and open match for both clubs as they say goodbye to their time in the Prem.
