If you follow me on Twitter, you know I was riding a live bet on New Mexico State against Missouri State last week. NMSU did everything possible to lose that game and they succeeded by simply giving the ball away every chance they got (game was lost in OT). I don't think we will see that against an FIU team that should be able to move the ball via the ground attack with Kejon Owens. I thought Jacob Clark got away with a lot of sketchy throws last week and it wouldn't surprise me if he has an underwhelming game. I'll take the points against a Missouri State team that I think is overrated.
Grabbing now as I believe it's fairly off -- it should be at least 3.5 and probably will be. Although obviously I'm not bothering with the spread (expect to close near -200 barring injuries unless I'm just completely misreading things). And frankly I've been rolling the past two CFB weeks after a shaky start to the season so let's ride the wave -- wasn't that the marketing theme of Spearmint gum or something? I might be thinking of the Doublemint Twins (who didn't think of them?). Mizzou State controls its destiny to reach the CUSA title game. I did fade the Bears last week at NMSU and got burned in OT but that's OK. FIU has been blasted in two of three away games.
