The Aggies may be the best team in the SEC, and they've already won on the road in a hostile atmosphere, at Notre Dame. I realize the Texas A&M defense couldn't get a stop last week against Arkansas, but LSU doesn't have near the offense as the Razorbacks. On the other side of the ball, the Aggies have a balanced offense that can both run the rock behind Rueben Owens and quarterback Marcel Reed and burn opponents through the air with receivers Mario Craver and KC Concepcion. Give me two units on A&M.
LSU is 0-9 ATS when the line is at the current number against top-25 opponents. However, the Aggies are 2-12 ATS against LSU in their last 14 games. Brain Kelly is also 12-4 ATS in night games at in Death Valley. The Aggies have been in a close game of late and survived Arkansas last week and while they have the talent over LSU, Death Valley at night is just different.
Point of attack is where football games are won and lost. Texas A&M has been stellar at that all season long. It has allowed their run game to flourish consistently, and all allowed their young QB Marcel Reed to grow and develop at an impressive rate this season. With an air of disrespect, the Aggies will avoid the slip up on the road in a hostile environment.
Few teams go into Tiger Stadium and win at night, but I believe the Aggies will. LSU's offense is anemic, and will struggle again against a defense that's proven capable of stopping similar teams. On the other side, LSU will be without its leader on defense, and that won't help it against one of the strongest, most balanced offensive attacks in the country.
