A game that is likely to draw little attention is Marshall against Middle Tennessee. Middle Tennessee very well should be an 0-3 team, but pulled out a late miracle in last week’s win against Nevada. I believe that has minimized what this spread would of been on Marshall’s side, who lost a majority of their team to Southern Miss. Middle Tennessee has struggled on offense so far this season, averaging less than 13 points per game. They could see more success today against a Thundering Herd defense allowing 24 points on average thus far. However, Marshall has an above average running game averaging over 177 yards on the ground and the Blue Raiders have difficulty stopping the run.
