Okie State has been one of the big disappointments of the country, which is too bad because it makes the very interesting Mike Gundy irrelevant. College football is better when OSU is good as Gundy has a way of proselytizing you to root for the Pokes when so. Yes, that was on my word of the day calendar ... I don't rule out an outright win here as I believe ASU is playing way above its head. Realistically, this is Okie State's bowl shot. Lose here and it ain't going to one. It's also Homecoming and the Pokes will wear Oklahoma A&M throwbacks. There had been rumors star OSU back Ollie Gordon might shut it down, but he's expected to play. Otherwise, no bet.

This total has inched up with Arizona State QB Sam Leavitt cleared to play. What will not be clear evidently is the skies. Rain, perhaps heavy, is in the forecast. The Sun Devils might be inclined to adhere to the ground regardless of the weather, given Okie State's tawdry rush defense and Leavitt's stats: only eight TD throws with six picks.
