This game looks every bit like the mismatch the line suggests. Utah State is off to a rough start this season after a season opening 11-point win over UConn. The Aggies are the only FBS team that UConn has come within 31 points of. Utah State has followed that with losses to Alabama, Weber State and UNLV. BYU is a legitimate top 25 team, while USU is ranked 124th in our 1-131 rankings this week. They only way this isn't a big blowout is if BYU takes it lightly.

Every game is a snowflake in terms of energy and focus. Utah State is very well-coached by Blake Anderson but is off to a rough start at 1-3 SU and 0-4 ATS. The Aggies opened with Connecticut, a team they took lightly but defeated 31-20, then lost at Alabama 55-0. They could’ve brought their best effort ever and still lost by 55 points. The next week was against Weber State, an in-state rival but a bigger game for the Wildcats, who pulled off a 35-7 upset over the 7-point favorite Aggies. Next up was what I’m sure the Aggies thought was another sure win against UNLV, but the Rebels are vastly improved and posted a 34-24 victory. This week, BYU should take Utah State very lightly as the Aggies will be playing their Super Bowl against big brother. Take Utah State and the points.
