Arizona State’s numbers are the reason for the low total. The Sun Devils have defeated three teams with poor offenses in Southern Utah, UNLV and Colorado, allowing a total of 37 points while scoring 113. Coach Herm Edwards will play to the level of the competition. The offense is led by dual-threat QB Jayden Daniels, one of the best in the Pac-12. The Bruins use an up-tempo spread attack under Chip Kelly and the offense is led by senior Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who also is a dual-threat QB that can put up points in a hurry. UCLA's offense has scored 35 or more in all four games this year, three of which were against teams with very good defenses in LSU, Fresno State and Stanford.

UCLA defeated the Sun Devils 25-18 last season despite getting outgained 442-363. Arizona State has the pieces to win this game outright. The Sun Devils are allowing 4.1 yards per play, while UCLA is allowing 5.3 this season. UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson doesn't look 100% healthy to me. Fresno State is built very similar to Arizona State and the Bulldogs beat UCLA outright as an 11-point underdog. The Sun Devils are also ranked No. 12 nationally in special teams. It’s unusual for a Herm Edwards-coached team, but they won’t skate by with the penalty bug. UCLA has covered the last four meetings.
