WVU coach Neal Brown has built a nice foundation for the Mountaineers, who were probably a bit undervalued when the season started. But they are in a bit of a letdown spot following their win against Kansas State. The Longhorns, as they are prone to do under Tom Herman, have started playing their best after already losing the games that mean the most. Look for them to pull away Saturday.

I feel as if every time Texas posts a dramatic victory, there is a massive overreaction. This is one of those times. The Longhorns were thoroughly outplayed last week by Oklahoma State, and West Virginia has a defense that's similarly built. Texas as a favorite of nearly a touchdown seems a bit too rich for me. The Mountaineers' defense, and entire team for that matter, has been consistently good all season.
