This line has seen some wild swings since Syracuse opened at -3. This isn't the best number on the Orange, but it's better than the opener and I'm not sure Maryland deserves to be even a slight favorite against any major-conference opponent until further notice.

What a rarity to see a matchup of teams coming off shutout wins. Granted, both picked on lower level opponents, with Syracuse smashing Liberty 24-0 and Maryland crushing Howard 79-0. Nonetheless, a moderate score is shaping up. The Orange have been parked in Under territory, going 8-3 in their last 11 on the road and 22-10-1 at all sites. The offense sputtered at Liberty, while the defense held the hosts to negative rushing yards.
