Oklahoma has won nine straight games, but the Sooners haven't played a defense in the class of Auburn's since the Sooners' last loss (Ohio State). They've run through the poor defenses of the Big-12 with ease. Auburn has stayed Under the total in its last four games and has allowed only 15 ppg on the season. I'm expecting that defense to slow down the Sooners' enough to keep this total Under.

This will be the second toughest defense the Sooners have faced this season. I still look for OU to once again show up in New Orleans and light up the scoreboard. Lay the points.

My projection model shows the Sooners as the clear value side in the Sugar Bowl, particularly with the spread lingering under a touchdown. I’ve go them winning by at least 10 points against an Auburn club that has struggled for consistent offense all season. Oklahoma produced two Heisman finalists, with Baker Mayfield making a return trip and receiver Dede Westbrook joining the party. They ended the season rolling past opponents with their explosive offense, and they will do it one more time in this bowl game.
