This is the perfect opponent for an NC State bounce back after getting embarrassed by Virginia on Tuesday night. The Wolfpack were challenged by Will Wade after the loss and for the most part have done a good job responding to defeats in ACC play. The Fighting Irish, meanwhile, just lost by 44 points to Duke on Tuesday night as they fell to 0-12 against top-100 competition since Jan. 1. Notre Dame lost its best player (Markus Burton) 10 games into the season and hasn’t had its most dynamic freshman (Jalen Haralson) since Feb. 10 because of an ankle injury. NC State’s inconsistent performances may open the door to surprising outcomes, but given the spot I think an engaged Wolfpack team wins by several possessions.
