As these sides combine for more than 182 ppg, a total in the low 170s shouldn't scare us away at the Siegel Center. Saint Louis hasn't had a total quite this high, but its scorelines have consistently cleared numbers in the high 150s/low 160s, and the Bills are over in their last six with their ultra-balanced offense of five starters all scoring between 11-13 ppg, led by bespectacled 6-10 Robbie Avila (47% triples) and his unique spot-shooting threat. Meanwhile it's 7-2 over the past nine for Phil Martelli, Jr's Rams, paced by on-fire G Terrence Hill Jr's 17 ppg the past four. Play Saint Louis-VCU Over
The Saint Louis Billikens come into tonight’s matchup with just one loss on the season. In fact, they have scored over 100 points in three out of their last four games. This should be an issue for a VCU team that comes in on a five game winning streak, but is a very poor defensive team. The Billikens get the one big run to spark a cover.
The Billikens have never won at VCU, going 0-10. But this year's Saint Louis team is looking special under second-year coach Josh Schertz. Off to their best start in 22 years, the Billikens are a scoring machine but they're also good defensively and on the boards. They rank second nationally with a plus 27.5 scoring margin. VCU is the second-best team in the conference, and playing at home is huge, but I think there's enough of a gap to to back the road dogs.
