CAA Tournament quarterfinal with Towson as the regular-season champion with only two league losses, while Drexel was middle of the pack at 9-9. The Tigers swept the regular-season series but both were close. Towson's Tyler Tejada was voted CAA Player of the Year, Pat Skerry was named Coach of the Year, Nendah Tarke was voted CAA Sixth Man of the Year, and Dylan Williamson earned All-CAA Second Team honors. This is clearly the best team in the league. Sure would be a shame to waste all that in the first postseason matchup.

Tigers grizzled themselves for this time of year with a ridiculous out-of-conference schedule and oodles of travel. It paid off with a 16-2 mark in the CAA, including a win over Drexel in which neither team topped 55 and one in which both topped 80. Two top D teams but Drexel had no answers for duo of Texada/Williamson for Tigers who went 16/33 from the field in one game and 16/28 in the other. Towson much better possessing the ball and has best rebounding margin in CAA. Tigers very well rested and 8-4 SU with 4+ days off and 5-2 with rest advantage. Towson was +6.9 in CAA and Drexel +1.4. Fourth straight 20-win season for Tigers. They know how to win games.
