SE Louisiana has won 11 of their last 12 games. They did get dominated in the first meeting against the Cowboys on the road, losing by 28 points with 21 turnovers, before going on their current run. The past two seasons, the home team won each of those meetings and the Lions have covered two of the last three. SE Louisiana’s defense is much better than their offense, holding teams to less than 70 points on the year while also shooting 51.2% at home. In conference play, the Cowboys are only 7-8 ATS as compared to SE Louisiana’s 9-4-2 ATS with some revenge on their mind.

McNeese is clearly the class of the Southland Conference. The Cowboys ripped Southeast Louisiana 79-51 on Dec. 30. But in this rematch on the road, McNeese could struggle to cover. The Cowboys have failed to cover six straight games, while the Lions enter on a five-game win streak. SE Louisiana senior guard Jakevion Buckley, held to six points in the loss at McNeese, is the back-to-back reigning conference Player of the Week. He has scored 19 or more points in four straight games and I expect him to come up big Monday.
