Mississippi St. may have turned a corner in their last five games, winning them all. The Bulldogs are shooting 53.2 percent from the floor and holding opponents to less than 57 points per game over their last three games. They’ve won most of their games because of their defense. Kentucky has been struggling offensively shooting 40.5 percent on the road and won’t get easy looks tonight against the Bulldogs defense. I’m on Mississippi St.

I really try not to pay attention to the name on the front of a college basketball uniform, but I can't believe Kentucky is this mediocre. It would not shock me in the least if they pull it together for one night and win here, but MSU has won five straight and has never beaten UK in a regular-season game under Coach Cal, so this certainly matters -- please students don't embarrass yourself by storming the court after beating an unranked team. I'm sure there are much better things to do post-game in Starkville ... like maybe climb a hill or re-watch Dukes of Hazzard. (Personally, I was on Team Cooter.) The Cats likely will be shorthanded in the backcourt again with Sahvir Wheeler and CJ Fredrick both doubtful and not at early shootaround.
