Texas Tech has been playing better since getting their first conference win, despite the blowout loss at Baylor three games ago. The Red Raiders are shooting 57.4 percent from the floor and hit the boards harder at home. They guard the perimeter well but need to limit the turnovers as it’s been a problem all season. Texas shoots 44.2 percent on the road and struggle beyond the arc at 29.6 percent. The Red Raiders lost by two in the first meeting and look to continue playing better at home, especially on defense. Texas Tech is tough to figure out, due to injury issues and a wide range of performances from the season so far. The distance between the Red Raiders' floor and ceiling is a skyscraper, so this pick comes with the knowledge we're playing with fire. But what Texas Tech has been since Mark Adams took over is competitive with Texas, and so I'm going to take the points with the home dog. TTU swept the Longhorns last season with wins by 13 and 6 points, then lost by just a bucket (72-70) when the two teams played in Austin earlier this year.
