    Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Chip's Analysis:

Virginia Tech controlled its First Round win against Clemson more than the overtime result would suggest, and while blowing a 9-point edge in the final 10 minutes does justify some concern I think the Hokies advance again with a close win against Notre Dame. The only regular season meeting was defense optional -- VT at 1.3 points per possession, ND at 1.2 -- and if not for 10 turnovers the six-point win for the Hokies could have been larger. Notre Dame's defense doesn't excel at forcing turnovers, so I mark that as a feat that's unlikely to be repeated and like Virginia Tech's edge with Keve Aluma inside.
