Indiana benefitted from some cupcake scheduling (to build a young team’s confidence) and then caught FSU after a very physical holiday tournament in Destin, Fla. UConn has five players averaging double figures, and Danny Hurley’s team is getting better each game. This is a totally different group from the one that lost to St. Joe’s earlier in the year. This is a home game for UConn playing at the garden. Back the Huskies.

The Hoosiers’ hot start was interrupted by a 20-point beatdown at Wisconsin in their first true road game. Expect a bounce-back on a neutral floor against a slightly inferior foe. Though UConn is located closer to New York City, the crowd should be evenly split. The Huskies are a half-notch below on the talent scale. IU has gotten to the foul line more frequently than any D-1 team.
