The Aztecs have yet another chance to turn an otherwise unremarkable season into an NCAA Tournament berth by winning the conference tournament. The Aggies are likely in the dance no matter the outcome, though they won't lack for motivation Saturday. These teams split the season series with each winning on its home court. The advantage lies with grabbing the points on a San Diego State club that will likely dictate its preferred half-court tempo.

Brian Dutcher has San Diego State playing defense like the olde days. The Aztecs held UNLV and Nevada to a combined 111 points in their first two games of the MWC Tournament. This is a winner-take-all game. The only way to the big dance for both teams will be a win in this game. Utah State is projected into the field of 68 however I'm not sure the MWC can get three teams. The last 10 times these two have played, eight have gone under.

I won't lie, there's a part of me that wants to take Utah State -6 simply because I'm mad at San Diego State for denying me the chance to see the rubber match between Utah State and Nevada. I do like the Under, though, both because it's a conference final and because neither matchup between these two during the regular season featured more than 131 points, and now both are playing their third game in three days.
