Expert Picks
Florida State rides a four-game win streak while Michigan has lost two of its last three. The Wolverines could come into this game with the idea that they belong in the CFP and don't really want to be here. But Jim Harbaugh won't let that happen. He wants to win every game and with extra weeks to prepare, he's hard to beat at anything. His guys will be fine. Florida State's three losses came against the best teams they faced and I think Michigan is better than all three of those. Both of these defenses have been incredible, which is why the total is so low, but I like both offenses to score often making me feel my Over wager is the best way to play this.
With the line move under a TD, I'll back Michigan. QB Wilton Speight should be back to full strength, and you can expect big plays from Jabrill Peppers. Look for FSU to fall to 1-6 in its last seven neutral-site games.
Michigan has one of the best defenses in college football. The issue for the Wolverines will be matching up with the speed and athleticism of Florida State. FSU's dynamic, tough QB Deandre Francois will keep this one close.
The Wolverines rank No. 2 nationally in points allowed (12.5), and I think they'll slow down Dalvin Cook and Deondre Francois enough to keep this game relatively low-scoring. Look for the Under to improve to 6-1 in FSU's last seven bowl games.
