The Avalanche are averaging 4.43 goals per game, tied with the Oilers for the highest in the league. Not to mention, the Penguins are averaging a respectable 3.43. Both teams have the offensive personnel to contribute, with Nathan MacKinnon leading Colorado’s attack and Pittsburgh getting production from its top-six forwards. With Colorado playing its third game in four nights, I expect a bit of defensive fatigue. Avs’ goalie, Mackenzie Blackwood, posts a 3.39 GAA in his three home games this season. I’m backing the Over tonight.
Do I even need to say that -1 or regulation line are better options? But I'm fine with this too and it's our only book south of -215. Sorta set my ML limit on here for hockey at -200 as at least you know must win two of three (although usually up the ante). The Pens have lost four of five and typically their goaltending is meh. Colorado just lost at home to Dallas on Wednesday. That's fine for two reasons: It was backup Scott Wedgewood in net, and the Avs so rarely lose B2B at home. A trip is up next too, and end of homestands is always a thing I like to play. The Avalanche’s 4.43 GPG are No. 2 in the league.
