In yesterday’s series opener we saw the Toronto Blue Jays nearly pull off a big comeback, but fell short 6-5 in extra innings. Saturday look for runs to be at a premium with Justin Steele on the mound for the Chicago Cubs. Steele has had effective outings three out of his last four starts. Also expect Chris Bassitt to recover from a rough first inning his last outing against the Oakland As in which he gave up six runs. Take the under.

The first game of the series went over the total with a late run by Toronto. The Cubs have struggled against righties at home over the last month, hitting .216 with a .663 OPS. During that same span, Toronto has also struggled against lefties on the road, hitting .214 with a .745 OPS. Justin Steele has only allowed three runs to AL teams this season in 32.2 innings. It’s also currently raining at Wrigley with wind blowing in and the public is all over on the over, we’ll take the contrarian route.

Already on the Under 8.5, which is gone now by the way (only 8s), but we'll try to double up a little here and if we push that's fine. Cubs lefty Justin Steele seems to have fixed whatever was wrong with back-to-back quality starts after a bit of a shaky period. Toronto's Chris Bassitt was hammered last time out by the A's and has only one quality start in his past seven. The Jays are six games under .500 on the road and the Cubs six over at Wrigley. By starting Cody Bellinger in the outfield instead of at first or DH I believe gives the Cubs their best possible lineup and that's the case again today.
