The Miami Marlins must re-group after yesterday’s 2-1 loss against the New York Mets. They will face lefty Joey Lucchesi who will be pitching in back to back outings for the first time since mid May. That should benefit a Marlins team that ranks second in MLB against left handed pitchers with a .283 batting average. Take Miami as they need this win for their wild card playoff chances.

After allowing just one unearned run over seven innings against the Diamondbacks last week, the Mets will give Joey Lucchesi another start. However, the Diamondbacks only have a .713 OPS against left-handed pitchers. The Marlins have a .764 OPS against them. The Marlins have also been excellent at home, where they are 43-33. Meanwhile, the Mets are 31-44 on the road and will be facing Braxton Garrett, who has not given up more than three runs in a start since July. Look for the Marlins to emerge with the victory in this matchup.
