Penn State is effectively a new team since the end of last season when making a surprise advance in the Dance. That included knocking A&M out of the tourney in the first round, so revenge at play for the Aggies, who will recognize the uniforms but not most of the Nittany Lions roster from the transfer portal, plus new HC Mike Rhoades, most recently at VCU. Hard to tell much about Penn State's 4-0 record vs. lower-tier opposition, but the Ags are notches above, off to a flying 4-0 start for Buzz Williams with many of the same faces as a year ago, including vet Gs Wade Taylor IV (a four-year starter) and Tyrece Radford. Buzz Williams is in his 5th year at Texas A&M. Williams is a terrifiic teacher of defense and his offense has always been below the average pace. Mike Rhoades is in his first year at Penn State. Rhoades plays uptempo with a pressing style of play however his defense was ranked i the top 15 his last three years at VCU. Penn State is 4-0 to the under this year.
