Leipzig have lost three straight on the road against English foes. Leipzig are just 4-4-4 on the road in league play, conceding 19 goals in 11 matches. City are 11-1-1 at home in their EPL matches, with a plus-30 goal differential. Leipzig showed their grit in the first leg, but this should be a different match altogether. Leipzig should scrape out a goal, but the hosts should come away with an emphatic victory.

Manchester City were the better side in the first leg against RB Leipzig, but they weren’t better by as much as you would expect them to be. That doesn’t mean that City are likely to lose the home leg against the German side, but it does mean that City continue to fall prey to the same habit of being overly conservative in the Champions League, prioritizing control of the game over scoring goals. Leipzig undoubtedly has quality players within its ranks, but City deserves its status as the favorite, and it should secure a reasonably comfortable win.
