When signing up, there will be a prompt to enter a TwinSpires offer code at the bottom of the page where you enter your name, email and phone number. The promo is only valid for new users who are of legal age. TwinSpires is available to those 18 and older in most states, but Arizona, Indiana, Iowa and Washington require users to be 21 years or older.

To place a bet on a race, first, choose the race you want to wager on. There are several featured races and tracks on the home page of the app, but you can also go to the "Races" tab at the bottom of the screen and choose from there. 

Once you're in a race, you will be on the Win tab, which is where you choose a horse to finish in first place. Near the top of the screen, you can switch tabs to Place, Show, Win/Place/Show and much more. You can click on the horse's name, and it will send you to a page filled with their race information and past performances. You can also look at the horse's jockey and trainer histories, as well as the horse's parents and lineage. 

When you know the horse or horses you wish to wager on, click the circle icon on the right side of the screen for that horse's line. That will then prompt the ability to choose how much you want to wager. That appears in the bottom left corner, and you can click on that to select a specific bet total. Once you've chosen that total, click the green Bet button on the bottom right of the screen, and your bet will be placed. A prompt will pop up asking if you want to view your betslip, which will take you to your "My Bets" page, where you can see your active wagers as well as past ones. 

To keep track of your bets with TwinSpires, look at the bottom of the screen and choose "My Bets," which is the middle option. Here, you can follow your active bets and also see which of your bets have ended already and whether you won or lost. You can also click on any of your bets and click "Video" at the bottom of the screen to watch a live feed of the race you have wagered on. 

Upon winning a bet, your account will instantly be credited with your winnings, which you can use immediately for other bets. It does sometimes take 24 hours for those funds to be available to withdraw from your TwinSpires account. 

The TwinSpires website is very similar to the app, but instead of options like "My Bets" being on the bottom of your phone screen, they're at the top of the website's interface. But the ability to place wagers and track them is very apparent on the site, as is the ability to check out various offers. The site's home page also features information about handicapping and the Kentucky Derby more prominently than the app does. 

Overall, there is little difference between the app and website, and it comes down to personal preference or availability as to which is better for you in a given moment. 

Like many other apps, the customer support function begins with an AI chatbot. It has multiple prompts you can click on, such as inquiries for funding your account. You can also type in a question, which the bot may or may not be able to answer. 

If necessary, the bot will send you to chat with an agent, but you must type in a prompt once again regarding what your question is. Once you're connected to the agent, they will have access to the question(s) you asked initially and will be able to respond with an answer right away. For instance, I asked what the lowest minimum bet is on the app, and once I was directed to a conversation with an agent, they answered the question right away – $0.10 on a superfecta wager. 

TwinSpires is an easy app to navigate, and it's loaded with different races and resources for bettors of all experience levels to utilize. The app highlights its promos, featured races and expert picks in a very easy-to-follow way on the home page, and it's very clear what races you have wagered on.

Bettors new to horse racing can utilize different resources and tools to learn more about the ins and outs of betting on races, but if you go into a race to place a wager, it can be a little unclear what the odds and numbers for each horse actually mean. That won't be an issue for seasoned bettors, but those with little to no experience may have a hard time following the different odds they're wagering on.

The TwinSpires app provides an easy-to-use experience for its users. It offers a wide range of races and bets to create, and it's very clear and easy to follow your bets once they're placed. It could stand to present clearer information about current odds for each race for users who are more inexperienced when it comes to betting on horse racing, but for users who have more experience, it works great. And for those who are more inexperienced, there are many resources and tools to use to learn more about the specifics of betting on races. 

There are a lot of different promos available to users, including the ability to receive up to $400 in bonus bets using the code. TwinSpires is a great app for those who are more experienced when it comes to horse racing, but it can be a good experience for those with less experience, should they be patient and comb through the available resources and information. 

TwinSpires would be better served to have more information regarding live odds changing and how much a bet is set to net when bettors are on a specific race's main page. You can scroll down to the bottom of a race's page to view information like pools, probables and willpays, but it would be nice if that information were more present, especially as you're placing a wager. For those who are not well-versed in the world of horse racing, it can be a bit overwhelming.
