Texas will try to avoid ending its year on a four-game losing streak when it takes the floor Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio, with hopes of advancing to the next round of the college basketball tournament. Texas is 18-12 after playing in one of the most competitive conferences in the nation. Texas made it to this stage last year, losing by six points, and is favored by 1.5 points on Tuesday at FanDuel. 

Later in the week, when the first round officially starts, matchups to watch include Arkansas (-15.5) vs. Hawaii, Houston (-23.5) vs. Idaho and Miami (-1.5) vs. Missouri. Houston made it all the way to the final last year, winning its first contest by 38 points to begin the run. Houston allowed 50 points or fewer in three of its first four college basketball tournament games last year, including 40 in its opener.
