Best bets for college football Week 8 at DraftKings
Steve Sarkisian and Arch Manning have plenty of doubters to prove wrong when Texas hosts Ole Miss at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Longhorns have lost two straight games to drop from No. 1 to No. 19 in the AP poll and now need to scramble to get back into a College Football Playoff spot. A third loss could be devastating. But Ole Miss will be a tough nut to crack, even at home. The Rebels have scored 83 total points over their last two games. The SportsLine Projection Model, which simulates every game 10,000 times, has the Longhorns covering 60% of the time.
The latest kickoff on Saturday's schedule is also a hugely important top-15 matchup as Utah hosts Houston. The Utes have looked no worse for wear with head coach Kyle Wittingham departing for Michigan, but this will be their first matchup against a currently ranked opponent. Houston has one such game this season, a two-point loss to No. 8 Texas Tech. The SportsLine model has Utah covering at a 57% rate.
